The Rain
Rain is one of the wonders of nature
Existing now , yesterday and in the future
Essential for the very existence of creatures
It contributes to maintain green pastures
Clouds in the sky announce its arrival
Drop by drop it turns into rainfall
An important source of water
A gift from the Great Master
Moistening everything coming on its way
It diverts to rivers and bays
Bringing food and greenness to the plants
Satisfying each and every want
Accompanied by the sea breeze
It fills lakes and seas
Man usually complain about the rain
But without it will there be any grain?
Lo! Admire the falling of the golden drops
Desperately needed for our crops
However, an excess can be disastrous
For it may engender many catastrophes
Remember the era of Noah
Who beseeched his people to pray God
He used this downpour as a weapon
To drown non believers in a severe inundation
