The Rain

Rain falling gently to the ground
People standing all around
Wondering what to do to stay dry
Seeing the children asking them, "Why?"
Soon the children start hoping up and down
Splashing and having fun all around
What is it about the rain?
That brings reactions of such range
When do we lose the idea of fun?
And learn when it rains we must run.
So let us take a long look at the young
And run around sticking out our tongues

I've often wondered why we worry about getting soaked to the skin ... it's waterproof! Nice write!

I agree! I'm not a child but I do the same all of us do need to regain the tiny joyful hands of rain!
