The Rain

We don't like the rain
We love to complain
But we can gain
Rain can take away the pain
It goes down the drain
When the sky is clear
The rain will disappear
And the sun will appear
The clouds will go away
The sun will stay
Today will be better
Than yesterday
I like when we are together
In rainy weather
My dog doesn't like to go outside
In the rain
You know there's no
Need to explain
I am driving in the slow lane
I don't know how long
The rain will last
I hope it's over fast
The rain is in the forecast
For five days
People are driving
On the highways
Like Nascar
But when they see
The police
They decrease
Their speed
Because they won't succeed
When it's raining
We are used to complaining
We want the rain to go away
The children want to play
We want it to disappear
So the sun will appear
We know when the rain is near
We want the sky to be clear
Rain,rain
I won't complain
You take the pain away
We need the rain
To maintain and sustain
We know the rain
Can't remain
We know that
If it doesn't rain
We will have a drought
We can't go without
We must believe
The rain has a purpose
I know it makes
Us nervous
But the rain
Leaves behind
And heals our mind
And helps us find
It helps us out
In a bind
See you planned to go
Somewhere God said No
Because he loves you so
It had to rain for
You could gain
And remain in the grace
That saved you from
Disgrace and the rain
Came in your direction
And it was your protection
Count on the rain
To help you maintain
The rain will sustain
And wash away the pain
It's easy to complain
Rain,Rain
Go away
The children want to play
Come back another day
