The Rabbits

Three Rabbits gather Below the driveway they sit and ponder When to go inside To search for their food Three patches of plants They eye the bushes Two rabbits enjoying Eating the new plants They run off to hide Until the next day All the plants were new The bushes were new Now both plants and bushes Look crooked and thin They are ruined By the three rabbits

Well I wondered why my plants were suffering? Its 'your dang rabbits' they must have hopped Through my screen, like a bad dream.? Herbivores no more ' I am going to fence them Off.'

Listen Darlene, the three rabbits worth more than the bushes and the plants. This is what they do. Do you know? I laugh with this poem. It's so wonderful and believe me, it makes me laugh, because the rabbits just are rabbits and do their life, even if they ruin the plants. Beautiful. Love María

A cute poem up to a point. You can't let rabbits run about free if you wish to preserve the plants. I remember on the border of Austria, there were so many wild rabbits. The inhabitants tried to destroy them but no use. They breed so quickly. And ate quickly too. Blessings.

Darlene I love rabbits we also have opossums here that come on my deck at night along with feral.cats Animals have to eat, they eat flowers, vegetables too Well, they can’t go to grocery store)). I lived in Nj/NY met area where we occasionally had deer, but i didn’t see avrabbit off the tv til i was 32 & had moved to KY, where i saw a clutch of three newborn in a fluffy nest under a backyard bush. I used to have a rabbit as a pet, it was kept in a hutch for the reason you wrote about! There's nothing we can do about the wild ones though! hugs Jan xx
