The Rabbits

Three Rabbits gather
Below the driveway
they sit and ponder
When to go inside
To search for their food

Three patches of plants
They eye the bushes
Two rabbits enjoying
Eating the new plants
They run off to hide
Until the next day

All the plants were new
The bushes were new
Now both plants and bushes 
Look crooked and thin
They are ruined 
By the three rabbits

I remember on the border of Austria, there were so many wild rabbits. The inhabitants tried to destroy them but no use. They breed so quickly. And ate quickly too. Blessings. I lived in Nj/NY met area where we occasionally had deer, but i didn’t see avrabbit off the tv til i was 32 & had moved to KY, where i saw a clutch of three newborn in a fluffy nest under a backyard bush. So we should not be worry about plants eaten by rabbits. Yet, your poem is very nice!
