The Rabbit Woman

Rabbits are known for fast multiplication 
A few humans are in this same situation 

Mrs. Vassilyev, a Russian peasant, 
Holds the world record to the present

He feat, as it has been presented,
Is completely, officially documented

She lived from 1707 to 1782
Bore 69 kids before she was through

Twenty-seven times in a family way
“Prolific” is the only word to say

Of quadruplets, four sets
Triplets, seven times she gets

Of twins, she had sixteen pairs
A single birth she never dares

Her husband then wanted more
A second wife, eighteen bore

I used to include it in my human anatomy and physiology lectures (consistent multiple ovulations). I don't know how she lived as long as she did. The Tsar was about to give her an award, but she died before it could be done.
