The Question

THE QUESTION (college life)

Carefully 
How carefully
Leather elbows has selected
Chin elevated
Eyes sweeping the classroom ceiling
Now he turns!
No!
Not yet
Now his back is to his victims
Thinking    perhaps    of writing on the board
No!
A sudden lurch of the shoulders
He turns
Mouth opens slightly
Eyes dancing mischief
Downward goes the chin
“NOW!” he exults
“Aaaaaaaaaa…………..
Let’s see?....................................(grade book)
Misssteeeerrrrrr…………………………………………”

scary! Pure torment! Already thinking of excuses to tell Mom and Pop!(high school.. used up all the excuses so I couldn't make college. Service instead. Nice and real Daver! Robert
