The Queen Returns

My dancing was over, so I thought
I had an illness that I fought
My time was spent sleeping
Alternating with weeping
The things I loved I could not do
Things I could do were so very few
But time heals even the worst of things
As the days go by my heart takes wings
I get to do more and more as days slip by
I often sit and wonder, why oh why?
What had I done to cause this pain?
When would I ever be well again?
Now time has rolled on and Friday came
I was at the dance once again
I was still too weak to do it all
But once again
I was Queen of the Ball
