The Queen of Diamonds

You’re wielding a sickle
In my field of dreams
You’re every obstacle
In my maze of extremes

Tossed in the deep end
We were on the same team
Withdrew a helping hand
I had to sink or swim

Only the winds of fortune
Kept my head intact
Focused on the horizon
Over the walls you’ve stacked

You’re wielding a sickle
In my field of dreams
You’re every obstacle
In my maze of extremes

You had my neck in a noose
Your forked tongue hissing lies
A price you could never lose
My name on the bull’s eye

Put your heart on the table
It was the queen of diamonds
Your skin was designer label
Your eyes artificial diamonds

You’re wielding a sickle
In my field of dreams
You’re every obstacle
In my maze of extremes

The flaming house of cards
It was money well spent
The game of love’s a sure bet
‘cos you hit the jackpot

You’re a sinking ship
The house always wins
You pocket a few chips
Thinking they’re magic beans

You’re wielding a sickle
In my field of dreams
You’re every obstacle
In my maze of extremes

tricky lines with the idioms but they make your poem intense and powerful!~Olive Eloisa =')

gosh, you put a lot of common idiomatic expressions into this one. Ones denoting deceit and bad luck. Let's hope this person does not exist "for real" in your life because that would be NOT good!!
