The Quandary
What goes up should always come down
The reason the laws of physics have shown
What takes birth should someday surely die
In the precepts of biology the reasons lie.
Nature functions following formulated tenets
Life drifts in time like cloud of changing facets
The dreams we spin the storm surge they face
Some live, some blow away, we can’t ever trace.
We toil and try to take life wherever we want
Can’t reach the goal for the bridges get burnt
The reasons of wreckage we can’t reckon at all
That’s when we hear the sound of fate’s footfall.
The mind likes to fly on fragile wings of free will
It can’t change the shape of life, it lacks the skill
Unsure, if it’s an arty artifact of intelligent design
Or an ordained expression of ancient coded gene.
