"The Pure in Simplicity"
the love thieves
all in syncronicity
shoot silver kisses
like bullets
penetrating
the pure
in simplicity
pretenders
sit at your table
feast on your losses
never your wins
now...
acrostics..
they swallow,
whole heartedly
it's kind of like medicine,
your everything,
your sons
and your daughters
and your
fresh fresh brains
those scrambled
they're just
small, simple
sacrifices
in the bent
larger scheme
of things
they call you
the Devil
but you’re just
a shadow
like a
pilot fish
attached
to the other shadow's
missile mind
sharp jaws
razor teeth and tongue bite
blood plumes, pretty,
fingers tap dance
they move with the music
they write…
while
the mind
is off on its own
let’s pause
for a second, a decade,
okay, for a minute -
others say
"wow, babe
you are no such thing..."
exclamation mark!
the jury turns
besides themselves
always besides themselves
to usher in
the other shut out,
outside the story
the unmentioned
other one
in
that one
that remains
hidden
works
at Freedom
…
that one,
so not
interesting, could be,
absolute pure fiction
like the purity
hidden in Truth
like a child taken
it's a rippling
fishpond being fed
morsels drifting
dissolving
crackers,
cheesey nibbles
the truth
in everything
like an aspirin
placed softly
on the tongue
swallowing Hell
poetic
cool
simplicity
bells ringing
like a win
like a sale
like a sail
like fair winds
pushing the
freedom wings
behind me
