A room permeated by the pleasant buzz
Of laughter and conversation
Jokes and triumphs, future plans
Sorrow and elation
Scents of food and beer and wine
Mingle with the sounds
Of voices and mellow music
Drifting all around
The warmth of the large dark room
Giving verve and form
To dreams and visions spoken aloud
Waiting to transform
