The Proposal
Underneath the shimmering silver moon, shadows cast at break of noon,
Where once with you I took your hand,
As we walked barefoot upon the sand,
We were younger so in love,
Thought we were blessed by God above,
Such innocence of tender years,
There was nothing and no-one that we feared,
The waves embraced the touch of shore,
I had never known love like this before,
Our life was written in the stars,
And looking back, we've come so far,
So here we stand and wait to see,
The horizon setting beyond the sea,
I take your hand as I did back then, and whisper,
"Will you marry me again"?
