The Promise

I’ll wait for you…
Everyday, all through the night..
Closing my eyes, seeing your smile…
A reinforcement to my tired less fight

I know you know…
And I know it too…
I have so much to show you…
So much to give…
A heart, a hug, a cry, and a laugh…
Our lives together…
A destiny for us to live.

Feeling the embrace…
Warm and secure…
Lost for a moment…
Nothing else in the world but you…
Always you…
The light in my eyes…
The brightness in a room of black…

I will wait for you…
No matter what it takes…
Wherever you go, I will follow…
Leaving nothing unsaid…
Nothing undone…
Through the good and the bad…
The sun and the rain…
The joy and the pain…
Whatever hurt can’t be eased, you can lean on me…
Always and forever.

I’ll wait for you
