The Promise

All of herself, she gave, Just to feel now betrayed. Here, on the edge of the cliff, she sits, Filled with emotions of regrets. Every memory is tattooed on her body. A promise was made, they will never separate. How could he left her fragile and alone, There is no one at home. To whom must she share her stories and memories? He is gone for good, laid in a box of wood. If she could just turn the hands of time, To tell him she changed her mind. She would go with him to the farewell, And not experienced this hell. He would not drive back home, alone. Still together they would be, Instead of, in the deep blue sea. Now, she had to scatter his ashes, Where it happened, and throw herself down. A promise was made, this is her fate.
