The Princess of Procrastination

I’m the Princess of Procrastination – Bow down at my feet! For I’m the best example Of delaying you could meet. Go through closets? Get a haircut? Start to organize my book? Work on projects that are waiting For a first or second look? Days go by and I get lost in Following my set routines. If I contemplate diverging, Somehow something intervenes. So to you, my loyal subjects, If your stalling’s got you down, Glance my way and you’ll feel better, For I proudly wear the crown.

If you're the princess, I'm the prince! Procrastination has been a lifelong trait of mine, especially when paying my bills or rent on time, though I'm on the ball with doctor appointments. I'm in agreement with John Watt concerning "your impeccable rhythm and rhymes. An inspiration to all of us on the Soup. / Maurice

Hard to believe someone who posts a poem every day could regard herself as a Princess of Procrastination, but I can certainly relate to finding something else more engaging to do whenever a closet cries out to be organized. Love your royal perspective in this one, and as always, your impeccable rhythm and rhymes ~ John

I'm there with you, my friend. Even when I have nothing to do, it seems like I don't have enough time.
