The Price Was Paid
How many times have I stumbled, weary from the burdens I carried,
Guilt ridden, heavy laden, because my pride I had not buried.
Trusting not in my Savior for this was my doings and I felt like it was my job,
I wonder how many blessings to myself would I continue to rob?
I think all of us have done this at one time or another,
Taking on burdens because Jesus we didn’t want to bother.
Learning to walk in faith and trust in God is sometimes a little hard for some to chew,
But I can promise you this whatever God brings you to, He will get you through.
Your faith is like your brain the more you use it, the more it will grow.
And studying God’s word will teach you all in this life you’ll ever need to know.
Then you can’t contain yourself, this wonderful new life you want to share,
And as you grow in Christ, you feel His love and know He is always there.
As you grow in Christ, you’ll noticed how those burdens have been gently lightened,
Not only will you see it but you’ll feel the change, and others will see how your life’s
been brightened.
Now I can’t get enough of thanking the Lord for the changes in my life I know He has made,
For that day on Calvary, he set me free, so cruelly the price, our Savior Paid!
