The Precious Day

What ends the day
Don’t let it just waste away
Let it end with a smile
Knowing you have gone your mile

For each day is a gift for you
To cherish and remember too
The breaking of the dawn
Midday the sun shining so warm

Then the pastel colours of sunset
With the satin night the best yet
The stars and the moon comfortable friends
As the promise of the new day to begin again.
