The Precious Art of Letting Go

I want you to know, I understand how you're feeling today.
I've been where you are and it's for your strength that I pray.
All though it hurts and is so very hard to understand.
How something like this, could be what God has planned.

But "why am I the one to do this" is something you need not ask.
God chose you with good reason to perform this delicate task.
You're strong and you're loving and you have what it takes.
Trust in his judgement for he makes no mistakes.

Our souls evolve from adversity and pain
We are rewarded with a plethora of things we gain.
And one reward is amazing, this I want you to know.
For it is learning the precious art of letting go.

For within our saddest moments lay the most wonderful things.
Like the wisdom and strength each one of them brings.
You will survive this please be rest assured.
And you'll look at life differently from what you've endured.

For it takes someone special to wipe the tears of the crying.
But someone amazing to hold the hand of the dying.
