The Prayer

When you reminisce the years
Don’t remember me with tears
Think of me once in a while
But remember me with a smile

When you’re feeling sad and low
And cannot find which way to go
Listen to our special song
Let the memories keep you strong

When you feel afraid, confused
Worthless, lonely, battered, bruised
Remember I'm still by your side
I’ll be your strength; I’ll be your guide

Though daylight fades, I’ll find the dawn,
Your love’s the light I’m leaning on.
Through shattered nights, I’ll make it through —
I live each day remembering you..

So when the night feels cold and long
And you’re not sure where you belong
Close your eyes — I’m still right there
In every whisper, every prayer

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid
Don’t hide your beauty in the shade
Don’t be drowned in tears and sorrow
Live for now...you have tomorrow

Don’t feel sad because I’m gone
Don’t feel guilt for moving on
I know you loved me, and you still care
That’s why I'm sending you this prayer

"Please God take away her pain
Take away her stress and strain
Let the lonely crying cease
Leave the one I love in peace

Let happy memories fill her mind
To all the sadness, keep her blind
Keep her smiling everyday
That’s all I ask...that’s all I pray"..
