THE POWER OF PRAYER

I see too many people 
In the dungeons of their lives 
dwelling in darkness 
dealing with trouble and strife 
felled by illness, unemployed 
suffering all matters of despair
yet I've never seen anyone 
who wouldn't kneel down in prayer

prayer is a conversation 
between you and God 
when the Holy Spirit transcends 
upon your heart 
an intimate talk 
that will change the atmosphere 
the power of prayer 
when God's mercy and grace appear

prayer has the power 
to change our behavior 
we tend to start moving more
like Jesus Christ Our Savior 
now learning to love more, to accept more
and no longer to judge 
letting go of all negativity 
and no longer holding grudges 

prayer is a conversation 
between you and God. 
when the Holy Spirit transcends
upon your heart 
an intimate talk 
that will change the atmosphere 
the power of prayer 
when God's mercy and grace appear

prayer is the foundation 
to living a Christian Life 
prayer is the furtherance of the Gospel 
that is our Lord Christ 
the power of prayer will open 
eyes, minds and hearts 
allowing us to be witnesses 
to the magnificence that is God 

now let the power of prayer 
lift you up and lift you out 
of those dark dungeons 
while removing any and all doubts 

prayer is a conversation 
between you and God
when the Holy Spirit transcends 
upon your heart 
an intimate talk 
that will change the atmosphere 
the power of prayer 
when God's mercy and grace appear 

PUSH 
Pray until something happens 
Be patient and believe 
that the power of prayer 
will open the windows of heaven 
and God's grace you will receive 

for prayer is that intimate conversation 
between you and God 
when the Holy Spirit transcends 
and infiltrates your heart 
that most intimate talk 
which will change the atmosphere 
the power of prayer 
when God's mercy and grace appear
