The Power of Prayer

When Einstein wrote E equals MC squared
a secret with the world he shared.
His insight altered history’s course
and flagged a great energy source.

When God sent His Son to dwell on earth
He came to us through virgin birth.
As a man, He tapped a power source
that wholly changed history’s course.

Christ spent much time in prayer alone
seeking help from His Father’s throne.
The power needed for His work
was gained by this enduring quirk.

The power to live without sin,
to battle Satan and to win,
came from the time He spent alone
in prayer at His Father’s throne.

The miracles that Jesus wrought
and the power with which He taught
alike came from the time He spent
praying to God with His knees bent.

The revivals of bygone days,
that helped to check man’s sinful ways
and which we so much need today
will only take place as men pray.

Prayer unlocks divine energy
that cause men to be born-again.
The praying Monica was quaint
Her prayers made her son a saint.

The Spirit acting on man’s mind
helps him with God to be aligned.
When human and divine are merged
the heart of man of sin is purged.

Man, senses God’s presence over him
as he prostrates, body and limbs.
When to man’s mind God comes in view,
words spoken by him are few and true.

There’s no need for words on man’s part
for God who draws him knows his heart.
Whatever he asks in Jesus’ name
will be granted by God all the same.

This science of praying we must learn
as for greater power, we yearn.
Then the prayers that from our heart wells,
will reach the throne where our God dwells.

God’s power through us will then flow,
we’ll be like Jesus here below.
The works that men to Jesus drew,
the same and greater we will do.

The greatest power ever known
is that which exudes from God’s throne
pray-in this power and you’ll win
your battle with Satan and sin.
