The Power of Love

There is a tide in the affairs of men Which can lay us low or then Raise our standards so high That we can even reach the sky. But in affairs of the heart There can be a flood so great That surrender to it we must And revere its power till we return to dust. There is no way its might we can resist No matter how hard we do insist. Its surge sweeps all before it powerless And we must yield without cowardice. Once we surrender, how sweet its embrace As we we let ourselves be caught in its race, Letting go of all our uptight inhibitions To be swept along in its wild commissions Such was that memorable night in Rathmore When you stepped softly inside my door Where our pent-up passion swept its dam away As upon the floor we together lay. Revealed to me were all your hidden charms As I held you gently in my arms. Generously you opened your legs wide To usher me smoothly, deeply inside . There we remained one and united Until the boiling frenzy of our bodies subsided. Now although we are living far apart Our souls are joined, beating with but one heart. To the power of love we must pray For giving us that beautiful day That will forever with us remain Until we can lovingly meet again For love there's no reason In love there's much rhyme Love's never out of season True love 's always out of time.
