The Power of Love

THE POWER OF LOVE The world says that love has many a face, and that it often burns out in the infernal fire of passion. Still, my world, when I hear the whispers coming from darkness beyond, the silent whispers of solitude, I know that I want to meet her gaze again, peeking sharply and purely into my heart, like sunshine peeks through the windows of an orphanage, shall I recognize the same face from yesterday, that shone with purity and serenity, just like I know for sure that a warm feeling flows through my veins with my blood when I see her face. Of course, it took strength to meet with her, because, after all, the poet knows how to celebrate other people's loves, rather than their own. My solitude had no need of me. I didn't even need myself, and each life that has no love of its own is but a blunder, and this is why I tell you, world, love may have many a face, but I know for sure that one shines for me.
