The Porch Light

Let the truth be a porch light
that attracts you like a moth;
Let the innocence of your inner-child
be the fabric of your cloth;
Let your mind be a window
you keep opened to new ideas;
Let the soul that you see with
always stay crystal clear.

Fly into the porch light
with no fear of being harmed;
Keep your window opened
there’s no need to be alarmed;
Don your suit of innocence
feeling proud and walking free;
Polish your soul crystal clear
through which you see your destiny.

Your poems demonstrate an easy flow. No forced rhyme here. Good job.

I really enjoyed this inspiring poem with a great message Joe. Should have been on the winner's list. My Freedom poem got an N/A too. I am not sure what he was looking for? At least you have this wonderful poem. Blessings, Connie

Excellent elocution as well as moving thoughts. The rhythm found within the verses flowed seamlessly and the follow through in the second verse, from the first, was inspiring !! Moved and uplifted !! Thank you !!
