The Poet's Market Or the Stock Market?

The world of money is still there
        Beating its way
into one's brains
Poetry is fluff
    omnipresent dollar
But still.....
A few lines can touch
the Jewish Soul, the Christian soul,
the atheist and agnostic soul
So if you get the
    chance
Write or listen to a poem

Great message in this little gem, Matt. and that word is the name of a white moth or butterfly! does that help you understand the sonnet now? I should put a note by it, I guess. lUv, andrea

Matthew, this is so true. A poem can brighten a grey day or lift an abused heart, calm fears.....it is a beautiful art! I loved this! Into my fav's. Blessings, Connie

The language of poetry can be universal, Matthew, and I like to think we would all lead better lives if we listened to messages like the one in your poem. Bravo for you for bringing your message to the forefront! Love, Carolyn
