The Poet Trochee

A poet beams his spotlight
On words dark and light.
It’s for us to decipher
Words seen through his sight.

He knows dangers in this world
Always will exist.
Instead of swords, he wields words
Giving us his best.

connie, I decided to look through your BEST poems. I wish I knew how Soup decided them: whether they are based on number of comment, reads or Faves, but in any event, I am pleased to see your TROCHEE was in the middle of the Best poetry pages!!!

So cool Connie, great form, trust Andrea to come up with something new. I do enjoy reading other's poetry, there are some really unique minds out there and they sure need to be appreciated. Lovely poem to decorate the subject!

Ah, I love how you did a counterpart for "the Poetess"! And to write it in Andrea's form, wowee! You just make it seem so easy! I love the thoughts you put in here and like your other poem, I can think of poets who can fit this description! I smile knowing you had a meaningful bday doing reiki for others, and how lovely that you saw your granddaughter! Yes, having a slow computer & connection can be so frustrating! Xoxo to you :D
