The Poem I Never Learned To Write

You are the poem I never learned to write, The love that never came to light, A love story that didn’t have a chance, Lovers who never learned to dance. Sweet time together and yet, Never us, I regret, As I lay my head down tonight, I think of the poem I never learned to write. Memories of May Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Michelle Faulkner 5/1/19

Oh I am sure many have the same issue, many a poem has never been written, although the heart desired it..
