The Pink Lotus

Blooming under the sun and wind
Displaying lovely pink petals
Adorning muddy, stinking water

What a fantastic life!
Flowers bloom upright
Drink the murky water
Have the wind and sun freely
The soft nuts are yummy

The man's native family
Cannot define a destiny
Pink Lotus gave us a lesson
Grow up in a stinky water
The old home of ancestors

Blooming under the sun and wind
Displaying lovely pink petals
Adorning muddy, stinking water

Pink lotus rises proudly
Fragrance and beauty
Stand tall with courage
Changed lives from misery
Strike high for victory

A very fine metaphorical piece! Perfectly set up for the finale.

A great read! Reminding us how insignificant 'where we come from' is when compared to 'how we transform ourselves to offer our best to the world'. Ani
