Notes About The Poem

BLM has issued yet another "official warning" * to Chicago's Mayor Lori Lightfoot that the violence -- 100 arrested the night of August 9 - 10 for looting on toney Michigan Avenue downtown; 13 police officers injured -- will continue until and unless the city's police department is defunded... (*See "Chicago Sun-Times," August 11, article on same.)

The Perfect Slogan

'Black Lives Matter'
  the perfect 'PC' slogan
to mask criminal activity
  to 'Defund the Police'

For if black lives truly matter
  the group's aims
  and its violent means
are the height of hypocrisy

Just ask law-abiding black folks
  screaming for police protection
for their families and their community

People who threaten violence and destruction to further their agenda are terrorists, regardless of their color.

Time to label BLM as a terrorist organization, based on their words as well as their deeds. They've abandoned all pretense of trying to improve this country and/or achieve equity. See what they're demanding in Seattle?! Unbelievable. Time to shut 'em down; silence is acceptance. Plus 'broken windows theory' in play here. :) gw

I don't think we should give any title a specific color. It just seems to create more divide and more hate. Some people are hell bent in repeating the 60's. Great poem GW

Please understand, Jenish. BLM is not 'protesting' anything. They're demanding instant revolution --- and when they don't get it, they loot, burn, and destroy. They are a black version of the Antifa that is terrorizing Portland, Oregon now. They need to be shut down and locked up, and then we can ask all the questions we want about 'how this happened to/in the USA.' (Even though the answers are plain to anyone with two eyes and a brain in his head). Thanks, Gershon
