The Perfect Mate

The Perfect Mate

Oh the perfect mate
Is the one I want to date
I’d take her everywhere
Making us the best pair

She’s just a bit shorter than me
But that’s fine, even if she’s 5’3
She laughs like a queen
And loves me although I’m still a teen

Yes a bit older I’d have to say
But everything seems to go my way
One who accepts my true identity
She has become my serenity

We’ll travel to the great distances, leave it all
We’d hop in my car, climb hills low and tall
She’d carry me through the rough and hard
She’ll protect me, my strength and guard

I want to hold her like a grizzly bear
I want to drag her into my cave, my lair
She liberates my mind
Before her I was blind

Before I was lost, but now I’m found
Because of that girl I came around
Her heavenly voice, its sound
Has taken me into the ground

The peas to my pod
The religion to my god
The rainbow in my night
The darkness to my light

Oh the perfect mate
Is the one I want to date
I’d take her everywhere
Making us the best pair
