The Pepperman

I OPENED A DOOR TO A WORLD UNKNOWN.
I WAS POISED TO ENTER, ALL ALONE.

I GAVE MYSELF, A SIMPLY SUGGESTION.
TO ASK MYSELF, AN IMPORTANT QUESTION.

WITH A JOURNEY BEFORE ME, YET TO BE SEEN.
AM I AWAKE AND ALIVE OR ASLEEP IN A DREAM?

I CROSSED THE THRESHOLD, IT'S COMPLETELY DARK.
I HAD THIS FEELING, OF A WALK IN THE PARK.

I HEARD A VOICE, SOFT AND SOOTHING.
I WAS STANDING STILL, YET I FELT I WAS MOVING.

I CAN'T SEE A THING. IT'S DARKER THAN NIGHT.
IS THIS HEAVEN OR HELL,WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS.

I FELT THE TOUCH, OF A WARM GENTLE HAND,
AND THE WORDS FOLLOW ME TO UNDERSTAND.

I FELT PEPPERED WITH LOVE, WITHOUT DEMANDING,
AS WE JOURNEYED THROUGH TIME AND UNDERSTANDING.
