The People Remember

So many life's lost,
not forgetting the pain it's cost,
tears cause from fear,
news we don't want to hear,
a premature conclusion to so many
love that won't be shared,
so many tears.

Another unknown solider,
must we lose the life of another,
still no closure for that mother,
silent pain still stifling a father,
still no healing for a sister,
no role model for another brother.

Too many fallen hero's,
too many life's diminish to zero,
so often we dont remember,
for a moment let's take the time
to honour these husbands, wifes,
sisters and brothers,
the people remembered.
