The Pedestal
You tell me that I am wonderful;
a 'miracle' of a man
tender, gentle, kind and good
the one who makes you feel
as none else can
Please, don't put me on that pedestal,
for I'll have so far to fall;
I'm flawed and frail, just a normal male
not remarkable, nor a miracle
at all
