Notes About The Poem

The Peas Have Sprouted

“The peas have sprouted,” he said with a shout!
Old Man Winter has finally gotten out.
Soon it will be fresh vegetables and flowers,
And fighting the deer so they won’t devour!

I had a friend from NH post on his facebook last night, “The peas have sprouted, the peas have sprouted!” Haha! So I replied with the little poem. I know how he feels. I lived in NH over 25 years and we always had a garden. The thrill of going out every day to check what is growing cannot be matched!
