The Paths

The paths are before me,
They will determine who I'll be.
Some are worn with no obstacles,
others avoided with many hurdles.

Some paths are for those who follow,
Others lead to a land ready to plow.
A path already set out does not entice,
To be someone there has to be a price.

Many paths lay before me,
Some worn, others grassy.
None are appealing of the ones shown,
Therefore I went ahead and created my own.
