The Passing of a Day

Dawn draws nigh o'er eastern sky The orange sun shows his face Flowers start to recognize The warmth of his embrace He'll chase away the darkness that Had once consumed our night He'll rise up high and proud above So we can see his light He warms the planet Earth with love And ultra-violet rays He makes for better picnics And for better swimming days But when his shift is over And he meets the western sea He'll wave goodbye to lovers With his colored reverency Rockman
