The Passage

Time's a sea passage that we all have to travel
An event where we witness our short lives unravel
The ship of mortality, leaving life in its wake
Lives tossed about on a sea of heartache

Regrets, some expressed, some remaining untold
Some thrown overboard, some stored in the hold
Memories, like sea birds, some distant, some near
Some lost in the mist, some remaining so clear

Time's vessel sails steady, through peak and deep trough
All's safe below deck, as the seas can be rough
A distant light beckons, time crosses the bar
The passage now ended, the next one's not far

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
