The Paradox of Time

You've seen 
what time can do 
     How 
     winds
           carve rock 
and how ancient seas 
  dumped their sediment 
on the ground
     take note 
of the changes 
Proceed cautiously 
     Our eyes have
tasted fire
     our ears have 
seen the progression of time
Let's take joy in 
    nature's dance
   Let the earth 
      take a few more whirls 
wait patiently for  
the inevitable march 
of the days, months, millenia

Joe Maverick December 4, 2010 at 11:32 AM thank you for your return comment,Matthew the orignal i wrote was in German, obviously there is something lost some people say, from each different discription however i like the effect! in that something beyond my control is given life in that process, i even used sort of off centre words in the same poem last week to this end.
