The Pain That Cuts So Deep
We all experience forms of pain that cuts so deep
That envelope our minds, loosing to ability to sleep
And breaking our hearts, making us silently weep
Leaving all that we know, lying in a muddled heap
The heartbreak you sense, that feeling you know
Burying it deep inside, within your psyche below
In your quiet solitude you never allow to it show
But like an emotional sickness, it surely will grow
Within all the past events, looking before you leap
Confused by what was said, what should you reap
And in our deepest turmoil, a precipice so steep
It is truly that emotional pain that cuts so deep
