The Owl Hoots

the owl calmly hoots
    while hidden in the darkness
         to be heard, not seen

Intriguing, as the sighting of an owl is such an astoundingly eerie experience---and yet that hoot, yes, IS meant to be heard, not seen. Well-done! :) gw

Thank you Gershon. This one was hiding in the dark, nearby with a loud hooting. Once, I did see one in the daylight up close. It had been injured. It was an experience I will not forget, looking into the eyes of that owl. I appreciate your visit and comment :)

I love owls; they do seem to have a tendency to hide but, you've summed up the owl quite well; I enjoyed reading it.

Yes Vijay. It was in the darkness nearby last night, hooting loudly. :) Thank you.
