The Outcome Is Always the Same

The setting of the winter sun
brings on a sky that's gray
The shadows all becoming one
are hastening the end of day.

The field lays with it's hint of white
at various places upon the ground.
As I walk along this frozen trail,
my steps make a crunching sound.

There is stillness in the winterly air
and deep silence is all around.
No wind to move these trees so bare
and nothing but quiet here to be found.

On different days I come to this place
and the outcome is always the same.
The beauty I see before My face
compels me to praise His Name.

And hasten the ending day. ...very good concept try to decide on a # of slyabbles per line..any pattern you like, say 8, 6, 8, 6 as in your first stanza & stick to it. The verse would read much more smoothly then! Wonderful GLORY to GOD!
