The Other Side of the Tracks

A periodic flicker of light,
Between which are cold metal,
The urge to look away, i fight,
Catching every glimpse i get,
For the possibility of might.
I could jump over it,
But I have fear of the height,
Just the thought of it,
Sends me into fight or flight,
I wait for it to pass
And i was right.
   You were there,
on the other side of the tracks.
