The Other Side of Love

They say that love is blind.

Love ripped out my eyes.

It came and devoured my soul.

Then left me out on a cold floor.

Leaving me trying to pick up the pieces.

They say love is in the heart.

Love come and cut out mine.

Left it bleeding within my soul.

Left it still beating in solitude.

Pulsing alone within the pain.

They say that love hurts.

Love has loved me too much.

With each red hot needle in my skin.

With each well aimed kick.

Love has shown me my own place in hell.

Smile? "Yes," love can sadly encompass the hearts other end of its joyous spectrum! Yet, it does not have to hold the end of ones hopes and dreams ~ Very profound poem my dear friend; leaving a heart which sincerely loves only hoping that, Your precious heart shall someday overflow with all Your life longs for...."Thank You" for stopping by my dear friend and, "Much Love & Warmth to You & Yours," John! ~ Smile, "Have A Very Beautiful Day Dear Chris, Wrapped In Love;" Bye My Friend!:) ~

Sometimes love can seem like it's not worth the effort, Chris. I did have true love once, though, so I continue to seek it again in spite of setting myself up to get kicked down. When the real thing comes along, it's the greatest feeling in the world. Hope you'll give it another shot. The right person might be out there! Love, Carolyn
