The Other Half of My Sky

I'm not used to happiness
It so often runs through my hands
Inevitably it lets go

So for all those rainbows I chased
I realised you don't need all the colours
Only one will love you so

Happiness is not guaranteed forever
It's moments of elation
A perfect smile, a perfect day

Wholehearted happiness is you
And though I don't deserve them
You bring so many of them my way

I ask you can I feel secure?
Lay upon this love
And ask you to let me try

To show you my love
For you are and have come to be
The other half of my sky...
