The Orderly

He toils each and every day
Without regard to prize or pay
His task is to work endlessly
Such is the life of an orderly!

His duties include everything
Calls to answer, equipment to bring
Never to refuse a call
for he is the one who knows it all.

Not the medicine herein dispensed
but to bring the tech equipment
that the doctors and nurses need
to end their patients suffering.

To help a patient roll or stand
that too is part of his daily plan
he freely accepts this task
and does it hiding behind no mask.

For he you see is poised to be
wherever there is seen a need
to fix or lift or move someone
An orderly's work is never done

So next time you or a love one comes
to a hospital for work medically needed done.
and you need someone to fix your bed or move it about.
Call an orderly..he'lll gladly be there to help you out!

When next your health brings you to this place.
And medical needs you face
Along with doctors, nurses, aides and techs
An orderly wil always give his best!
