The Open Door of the Sanctuary
The Open Door of the Sanctuary
“25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. 26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.” Heb 7:25 NIV
Raise your eyes to the open door
Of God’s sanctuary in heaven.
Where His Shekinah glory
Shines in the face of Christ risen.
He saves to the uttermost,
Those that heed the invitation—
“Come unto me…
All you who are weary and heaven laden.”
Just before the Ark of the Covenant
He intercedes for His children;
Making our prayers acceptable
To God’s presence in heaven.
The door of the sanctuary is open
Every hour of the day and night.
He bids us to enter in…
O, what a glorious sight!
On the left is the Menorah [Holy Spirit]
With its seven candles brightly burning.
On the right, the Table of Showbread [God’s word]
For our inspiration and learning.
In the middle the Intercessary Altar
Stands shining in brilliant gold.
This is where our good Lord intercedes
And hearts to His love unfold.
When the curtains are parted
The Most Holy Place can be seen.
It’s beauty is so breath-taking,
Bathed in God’s Shekinah glory beams.
It holds the ten commandments
That are the character of our God of love.
Come through The Open Sanctuary Door,
To heaven’s courts above.
