The Only Rose

The only rose to grow
Where the light refuses to show
The only pair to go
Where the dawn isn't bold enough to glow

The rose blooms for them

The only rose to shine
When the dark seems divine
The only pair to incline
To walk outside their life's thin line

The rose dazzles in the sunlight

The only rose to beam
When the miserable began their scream
The only pair in a dream
Their lives seeming so supreme

They left the rose behind
