The One Who's Jealous
there's always someone close to you who looks at you with envy
so you should be aware of those who live a life most empty
you have attributes they don't
they have attitudes you don't
make a note of those who are easily offended
innocent acts overshadow
angry fits for reasons shallow
the sensitive for no reason with issues never ending
a friend to whom you give and give is a friend pretending
something you wont understand
until you're down and need a hand
when suddenly and subtly a joy is clearly showing
they will not help you get back up as finally their glowing
forget them and let go and simply carry on
they'll glow and glow until another you comes along
and this will repeat everytime and on and on and on
it's not your problem so don't make it yours
all they know is bitterness and soreness to the core
thank the lord for what you have
you're so great it drives others mad
