The One Who Got Away

·>•<·The One Who Got Away ·>?<·

Today I blew a fuse.
It’s just the same old news.
I’m afraid I’ve lost my muse.
You were my darling, my queen.
How I long for thee.
A love we shared, special and seen.
Still I wonder if you think of me.
The time served apart,
Has a void within my heart,
Wishing for a fresh start.
Should I go on feeling so blue?
In a shroud of darkness that misses you?
Just to be able to see your face
And have your beauty again to trace.
I wouldn’t want another in your place.
So, I look to the skies above
Where I’ll always remember our love.
