The one that got away

My love are you near?
My love are you away ?
My love why won’t you stay?

As eyes gets older one thinks the mind is forever stuck
As eyes gets older one thinks of the found memories
As eyes gets older one thinks of the sadness that came.

We met with smiles and glee
We met under the trees
We met with fury and anger

We played till sunrise to sunset
We played and hide under the trees
We played and dance in the rain

Do you remember the last night we touched
Do you remember the last night we danced
Do you remember the last night we fought

As you go to another do you still remember my name
As I go to another will I still remember your name
As we are in another arms do we still call on one another

Remember me when you’re old
Remember me when you’re under a tree
Remember me when you hear our songs

As I open my eyes I throw a rose under the tree we use to hide

I grow old while you’re forever stuck
For as it is I who can’t move on
And I leave a rose by your memory of what you are now

When my eyes close and I think my last thought
I see you again and now we are both in the stars.
